Ingredients
For the Casserole
- 2 tubes refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 lb sliced Swiss cheese (divided)
- 1 lb thinly sliced deli corned beef
- 1 (14 oz) jar sauerkraut, well-drained
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 3/4 cup chopped dill pickles
For the Topping
- 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
Instructions
Preheat Oven and Prepare the Dish
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish to prevent sticking.
2. Prepare the Bottom Crescent Layer
- Unroll one tube of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared casserole dish.
- Poke holes across the dough using a fork to prevent bubbling.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
3. Assemble the Layers
- Lay half of the Swiss cheese slices over the baked crescent layer.
- Spread the sliced corned beef evenly over the cheese.

- Lay the remaining Swiss cheese slices over the filling.
