Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  • Prepare the Brownie Batter:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
    • In another bowl, blend melted butter with granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
    • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Make the Cheesecake Filling:
    • In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
    • Add powdered sugar and lemon zest (if using), mixing until well incorporated.
  • Assemble the Cookie Bites:
    • Pour two-thirds of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
    • Drop spoonfuls of cheesecake filling over the batter and spread gently.
    • Dollop the remaining brownie batter over the top and use a knife or skewer to create swirls.
  • Bake:
