- 1 large egg

For the Apple Layer
- 3 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp (28 g) unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp (30 g) brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
For the Topping
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) caramel sauce
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into a 9-inch pie pan, covering the bottom and sides evenly.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes. Let cool completely.
- Make the Cheesecake Layer
- In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
- Prepare the Apple Layer
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender but not mushy.
- Arrange the apples evenly over the cheesecake layer.
- Bake the Pie
- Bake the assembled pie for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheesecake layer is set.
- Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Add the Topping
- Drizzle caramel sauce generously over the chilled pie.
- Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
