Ingredients
- 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate morsels
- 1⅓ cups flaked coconut
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or butter to ensure easy removal of the bars.
- Prepare the Crust:
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly moistened.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to create a solid crust layer.
- Layer the Ingredients:
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the graham cracker crust.
- Sprinkle the chocolate morsels in an even layer over the milk.
- Add the flaked coconut as the next layer.
- Top with the chopped walnuts or pecans.
- Gently press the layers down using a fork or spatula to help them adhere to the condensed milk.
- Bake the Bars:
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
- To prevent over-browning, check the bars during the last few minutes of baking.
- Cool and Slice:
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, cut into squares or rectangles and serve.
