  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

  • ⅓ cup crushed candy canes (divided)

Instructions

Prepare the Pan:

  • Line an 8×8-inch square pan with aluminum foil, ensuring it extends over the edges for easy lifting.
  • Lightly butter or grease the foil.

2. Melt the Dark Chocolate Layer:

  • Pour half of the sweetened condensed milk into a small saucepan.
  • Add dark chocolate chips and melt over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  • Spread the dark chocolate mixture evenly into the prepared pan.

3. Melt the White Chocolate Layer:

  • In another saucepan, combine the remaining condensed milk and white chocolate chips.
  • Melt over medium heat, stirring until smooth and creamy.
  • Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract (if using) and ¼ cup of crushed candy canes.
  • Pour the white chocolate layer over the dark chocolate layer, spreading it evenly.

4. Add Toppings:

  • Sprinkle the remaining crushed candy canes over the white chocolate layer.
  • Gently press the candy pieces into the fudge to ensure they adhere.

5. Set the Fudge:

  • Let the fudge cool and set completely:
    • At room temperature: 4-6 hours.
    • In the refrigerator: 1-2 hours.

  • Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the foil edges.
