Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Brownie Batter:
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Make the Cheesecake Filling:
- In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
- Add lemon zest if desired.
- Assemble the Cookie Bites:
- Spread 2/3 of the brownie batter evenly in the prepared pan.
- Drop spoonfuls of cheesecake filling over the batter and gently spread it.
- Drizzle or dollop the remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake layer. Swirl gently with a toothpick or knife.
- Bake:
