Ingredients
- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
 - 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
 - 1 large egg, room temperature
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - ½ teaspoon almond extract (optional)
 - 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
 - ¼ teaspoon salt
 - 1 package (3 oz) strawberry-flavored gelatin mix
 - ¼ cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
 - 24–30 chocolate kiss candies, unwrapped
 
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough
- Beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
 - Add egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, mixing until combined.
 - Stir in the strawberry-flavored gelatin powder.
 
 - Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
 - Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
 
 - Shape the Cookies
- Roll tablespoons of dough into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
 - Press the center of each ball with your thumb or a teaspoon to create an indentation.
 
 - Bake
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes, until set but still soft.
 
 - Add Chocolate Kisses
- While cookies are warm, press a chocolate kiss into the center of each. Let cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
 
 - Decorate
