Description

Start your day with a warm and hearty Spinach and Feta Crescent Breakfast Bake. Fluffy eggs, savory sausage, melty cheese, and flaky crescent rolls come together for the perfect breakfast or brunch dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 tube (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (your choice)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen spinach (optional)
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese (optional)
  • Cooking spray, as needed

Instructions

 Prepare the Ingredients:

  1. Cook the ground sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

2. Assemble the Breakfast Bake:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9”x13” baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the dish, ensuring an even layer.
  3. Spread the cooked sausage over the crescent dough.
  4. If using, sprinkle spinach and feta cheese evenly over the sausage.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients.
  6. Top the casserole with shredded cheese.

3. Bake the Casserole:

  1. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.

4. Serve and Enjoy:
Cut into slices and serve warm.

Notes
