Ingredients
- 1 tube (8 oz) crescent roll dough
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheese (your choice)
- 1 cup fresh or frozen spinach (optional)
- 1/2 cup feta cheese (optional)
- Cooking spray, as needed
Instructions
Prepare the Ingredients:
- Cook the ground sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
2. Assemble the Breakfast Bake:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9”x13” baking dish with cooking spray.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the dish, ensuring an even layer.
- Spread the cooked sausage over the crescent dough.
- If using, sprinkle spinach and feta cheese evenly over the sausage.
- Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients.
- Top the casserole with shredded cheese.
3. Bake the Casserole:
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
4. Serve and Enjoy:
Cut into slices and serve warm.
