Ingredients
For the Dough:
- 1 cup whole milk, warmed
- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast

- 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- ½ cup white granulated sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
For the Strawberry Jam:
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- ⅓ cup white granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
For the Lemon Cream Cheese Icing:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp whole milk
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a small bowl, stir together warm milk, yeast, and ¼ tsp sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
- In a stand mixer bowl, combine eggs, melted butter, and yeast mixture.
- Gradually add flour, sugar, and salt, mixing on low speed until a dough forms.
- Knead on medium speed for 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Make the Strawberry Jam:
- In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until strawberries release their juices.
- Mash the strawberries and stir in the cornstarch slurry (cornstarch mixed with water).
- Cook for 2–3 more minutes until thickened. Transfer to a bowl and cool completely.
- Assemble the Rolls:
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
