Ingredients

Eggs and Cheese Mixture

  • 10 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 ½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Rolls and Assembly

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Flaky sea salt (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Eggs

  1. Whisk the Mixture: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, ½ cup cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook the Eggs: Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and cook gently, stirring occasionally, until eggs are just set. Remove from heat.

Step 2: Assemble the Sliders

  1. Slice the Rolls: Use a serrated knife to slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally as a whole unit, keeping the top half attached.
  2. Layer the Ingredients:
    • Spread 1 cup cheddar cheese on the bottom layer of the rolls.
    • Add the scrambled eggs evenly over the cheese layer.
    • Sprinkle another cup of cheddar cheese on top of the eggs.
    • Place the top half of the rolls back on.

Step 3: Add the Honey Butter Topping

  1. Mix the Topping: Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a small ramekin and stir in the honey.
  2. Brush the Rolls: Generously brush the honey butter mixture over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
